The Lakes

The Lakes

Stoney Park comprises of two man made lakes, which have been purpose built for the sports of waterskiing and wakeboarding.

The lakes have carefully been constructed at right angles to each other to best utilise the varying sun and wind conditions. The lakes are 720 metres long, 60-80 metres wide and ranging from 1.5-1-8m deep.

Infastructure

Both lakes are fully equipped with surveyed slalom courses and jump so as to cater for everyone's skiing requirements.

An undercover boat dock has been constructed on the side of the Eastern Lake , and a huge two-storey boat dock on the side of the Western Lake. This second boat dock is fully equipped with two drive in parking bays for the boats and has ample viewing areas from both the open decking on the lower level and from the verandah on the upper level.

The front Lake is fully equipped with a range of sliders and kickers for all levels of Wakeboarders.

Stoney Park operates with the most up to date Malibu Responses. Our 2007 Model Malibu's are powered by 320 horse power fuel injected engines, and are fully equipped with digi pass cruise control.

These magnificent boats is not only ideal for pulling all levels of water skiers, but also comes with a custom made high pole and wedge for wakeboarding. These innovative pieces of equipment take only minutes to install and then create the perfect shaped wake that wakeboarders crave.

Stoney Park has been designed to create optimum conditions for not only competitors, but make life easier for judges and make excellent viewing for the spectator.

Stoney Park is fully equipped with all the latest infrastructure required to smoothly run any world class tournament.

For the Nature Lover

Not only is Stoney Park fully equipped with all the necessities to run a fantastic ski school, but we have also been blessed with a beautiful natural environment that is great for any nature lover.

The 230-acre property has many forests and bush as well as open parkland that is great for picnics. A number of small lagoons are scattered around the property, and a canoeing lagoon in the form of meandering canals which work their way through trees and around islands. This is ideal for any age group who want to paddle around for hours on end! The open spaces are great for any sports loving person who loves to walk, run or just relax!

Stoney Park is also home to a large colony of native Kangaroos. The kangaroos predominately live in the forest adjacent to the lakes, but will be regularly seen grazing and drinking along the lakes edges. The main feeding times for the Kangaroos is early morning or late afternoon.

Activities

Canoeing

Canoeing at Stoney Park offers a range of double and single canoes.

The natural canoeing lagoon is over several kilometers long. Experience a relaxing environment and beautiful area, and paddle at a pace which suits you.

Bike riding around Stoney Park is a great way to see the property at your own leisure.

A range of bikes are available for your use free of charge.

Our huge undercover Gazebo/BBQ area is available for guests to use all year round. It comes fully equipped with BBQ, gas, sink and fridge.

It is ideally located overlooking the lakes.
