For the Nature Lover
Not only is Stoney Park fully equipped with all the necessities to run a fantastic ski school, but we have also been blessed with a beautiful natural environment that is great for any nature lover.
The 230-acre property has many forests and bush as well as open parkland that is great for picnics. A number of small lagoons are scattered around the property, and a canoeing lagoon in the form of meandering canals which work their way through trees and around islands. This is ideal for any age group who want to paddle around for hours on end! The open spaces are great for any sports loving person who loves to walk, run or just relax!
Stoney Park is also home to a large colony of native Kangaroos. The kangaroos predominately live in the forest adjacent to the lakes, but will be regularly seen grazing and drinking along the lakes edges. The main feeding times for the Kangaroos is early morning or late afternoon. |
